Policing and Authoritarian Legitimacy in Singapore

Guest: Marcus Chen, Senior Manager of Citizen Engagement for the Singaporean Ministry of Manpower.

This is part of a class on Policing taught by Professor Robert Vargas and where they will discuss the challenges of policing in Singapore and Southeast Asia more generally.

Global Studies Cookies and Milk/Coffee Hour

Featuring: Prof. Owen Kohl and Angela Patricia Zorro Medina

This will be an informal panel for about 20 minutes where director, Professor Kimberly Hoang, will ask Owen and Angela to talk about their career trajectories, experience teaching in public schools, going to law school, their research interests and ultimately what led them to academia. This will be a way for you to get to know some of the exciting people you will be working with.
